My Favorite Netflix Original Shows

Updated: Aug 24, 2019

Netflix has a plethora of movies and TV shows to watch instantly. My favorite type of entertainment in their collection is their originals.

Here are my favorite TV shows.

Stranger Things

This one is surely to become a classic. This is a story of friendship, romance, and sacrifice.

"After the mysterious and sudden vanishing of a young boy, the people of a small town begin to uncover secrets of a government lab, portals to another world, and sinister monsters. ... Trying to help find him, the boy's friends discover a strange little girl, who is on the run from "bad men." - IMDB

Sex Education

I first heard about it watching Instagram fan edits, I'm a fan of fan edits hehe. I recognized Kedar Williams-Stirling from Wolfblood. I really liked his character in Sex Education and as I got to know the rest of the characters I grew to like them just as much.

"A teenage boy with a sex therapist mother teams up with a high school classmate to set up an underground sex therapy clinic at school." - IMDB

Santa Clarita Diet

Wait, wait...

While working on this blog post I found out that there will be no fourth season.

What?! It's a great show.. :(

Well, I think the first and only three seasons are still worth a watch. It's a hilarious show about marriage, family, and zombies. Just watch it, you won't regret it!

Aww now I feel bummed that it's ending..

"Joel and Sheila Hammond are everyday suburban real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California. The couple face a series of obstacles when Sheila has a physical transformation into a zombie and starts craving human flesh." - IMDB

Mr. Iglesias

Gabriel Iglesias is one of my favorite comedians. When I found out Netflix gave him his own sitcom I was stoked. It can be a little cliché at times but it's a good show.

"A good-natured high school teacher working at his alma mater works with gifted but misfit and disinterested students." - IMDB

On My Block

I like this show so much because it's real and not overdramatic. Just the right amount of the dramatic, and that comedic timing is great. Bravo to the writers. Being Mexican myself this show hits home. I am looking forward to watching future seasons.

"A coming-of-age story about four bright, street-savvy friends navigating their way through high school in the gritty inner city of South Central Los Angeles. Dealing with the danger of getting their friend out of a gang and friends turning into romance, danger is constant." -IMDB

Thanks for reading!
