When I tell people about Roseville they usually don't know it exists. It is the city of roses and cotton candy skies. There are so many things I adore about this gem of a city, but this is not what this blog post is about. I want to compliment the coffee shop that continues to inspire me.
The Fig Tree is a music, art ,and coffee lounge in Roseville, California. To unknowing eyes it looks like just another coffee shop, but it's more than that.
It's a place for appreciation of the human experience and creativity.
Though I may be biased because this is the coffee place I spent many days and evenings writing my book "Hey Humanity" , I truly recommend you visit this city and this place.
It is in downtown Roseville, which is my favorite part of the city. "The Fig" as the locals call it, is on the well known Vernon street.
So what makes it so special?
You are treated like a friend who happens to be a customer, keeping true to their motto, "When you're here, you're family."
The environment is cozy chic. It feels like home.
Seriously, it looks like a living room giving it a homey feel.
You are surrounded by local art by extremely talented artists.
For example, right know they are featuring Matt Konar's work.
He is very talented and owns the color blue!
The coffee is delicious. They serve Naked coffee. I don't know if that is what makes their coffee taste so good, but it certainly has something special.
The pastries are just as good! My personal favorite? The 5 Star brownie.
My favorite band that The Fig regularly features is Cobalt. The duo (and occasionally Kaylee, she's my favorite) perform there on blues night, which is Monday 7pm to 9pm. The Fig Tree has a different artist to perform for every day of the week. They have open mics as well.
The Fig Tree does a great job of supporting, uniting, and inspiring the people of the Sacramento area.
